It solely depends on which medical insurance you are paying for. Radiant and Jubilee can cover you internationally depending on your insurance plan and its benefits, but Britam's insurance covers insurance in Rwanda only. However, emergency treatment outside Rwanda due to illness or injury will be covered. You will have to pay for your treatment out of pocket and request a refund from Britam. Any other treatment outside Rwanda must be pre-authorized.

In situations like this, make sure to reach out to them using their several helplines or the email addresses they have provided. If you cannot reach them in an emergency situation, you can pay out of pocket and fill out a refund request form. All refund requests must be submitted within 90 days of treatment and will be paid within 14 working days.
